Italy is a beautiful country full of the most amazing scenery but also contains some of the greatest art treasures in the world as well as some of the most extraordinary historical buildings. There is a lot for the tourist to enjoy from its many delightful towns to the mountains, lakes and rivers that are found all over the country.

Italy is a country full of interesting things for the tourist. There are the famous cities of Rome, Florence and Venice each having their own unique character and architecture as well as the romantic medieval hill town of San Gimignano in Tuscany and the unspoilt fishing villages found on the Amalfi coast, Verona in the north made famous by Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet and Milan the fashion capital of the world.

Italy is an easy to travel around with good air, rail and ferry links to other European countries. Driving in the larger Italian cities is not for the faint-hearted as the traffic is just horrendous but away from these larger centres driving is an excellent way to visit many of the smaller towns that are dotted across the landscape of Italy and view the superb scenery.
