INTERLAKEN — Overview

Interlaken is a small city that lies between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. It is surrounded by the Bernese Oberland Alps and is found at the foot of the three mountains — Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. It has the most spectacular of settings and it is a holiday resort with plenty of activities and scenery to explore.

Getting There
The best way to get to Interlaken is by train and there are frequent trains from Zurich, Geneva, Basel, Berne and Lucerne. There are two train stations — Interlaken East and Interlaken West. Intelaken West is the closest train to the centre of Interlaken and it is possible to walk to most hotels or they will only be a short taxi or bus ride away.
