HAWAII — Overview

The Hawaiian Islands are the epitome of all that you dream about when you think of a tropical paradise. The islands are quite different in many ways and they contain volcanos, jungle, beautiful coral reefs as well as some unexpected hidden natural wonders. There are six islands that you can visit as a tourist and these are: Kaua´i, O´ahu, Maui, Moloka´i, Lanai and the Big Island (Hawai´i). To get from island to island you will need to fly and there are several inter-island flights a day. Once on these islands the best way to get around is by car. All the major rental car companies are represented here as well as others that are only found in Hawaii.

Getting There
Most overseas flights land at Honolulu International Airport on O´ahu. If you are flying to one of the other island this is where you will fly from although if you are flying in from mainland USA there are flights that go directly to Kaua´i, Maui and the Big Island.

There are a number of ways to get to and from Honolulu International Airport including car, taxi, bus, and shuttle.
